In order to try and avoid the whole "taking-our-helmets-off-as-soon-as-we're-out-of-mom's-sight" phase (Michael and I were pretty good at that), I bought Nakiah a helmet for those bike rides around the deck. So far, she's enjoyed wearing it....
She's even been teaching Kicen the importance of wearing a helmet!
Hopefully she'll continue to enjoy it.
