Thats My Girl!

With all this cold weather, Auma had to let Nakiah warm up some how! :) Nakiah had her first taste of hot chocolate at Auma's house and has decided that she is NOT a fan.
Just like sledding without the snow Walking in mommy's shoes
Kicking back in the car watching some Barney
I think she has her mamma's tongue
Smelling the flowers on her rug
Counting the butterflies
Sporting Auma's shades from the eye doctor
Showing off her "I'm not doing anything" grin
Her new trick
She was helping us get ready for Thanksgiving dinner, by playing in the crock pot bag
She's still learning.....:)

Drowning in Snow!!!....But LOVING it!

I got off work early on Thursday and decided to take Nakiah to my parents house to play in the snow, at that time they had about 22 inches give or take.
It was so deep that when I pulled into the driveway my car was pushing snow. When I opened my door, snow was piling up as my door pushed through the drifts.
We used an old stadium chair as a sled for Nakiah
She had so much fun
She kept laughing as she was being pulled
She had only had a 30 minute nap all day and was a bit grouchy if we weren't doing what she wanted
She kept signing "more" and "please" if we stopped pulling her
We tried to visit Auntie Fritzi next door, but Nakiah thought we were trying to take her inside and wouldn't walk to the front door
So she and Auma threw snow in the air and laughed when it floated to the ground
She had a blast as long as mommy didn't try to take her bink out of her mouth...have I mentioned before how much I hate that thing?
This was one of the small drifts I stuck her in, she couldn't move and got a bit frustrated until she realized she could play with the snow without having to bend down
Attempting to walk through the car tracks
Shoveling snow
Auma had to bring out the measuring cups for Nakiah to play with
I tried to teach her to eat the snow, only the white snow of course, but she would just watch me and laugh. When I tried to get her to eat it, she just pushed it to my mouth.
The snow came up over the seat of the chairs
The front porch should be two steps higher than the sidewalk

Lights of Chrstmas

Last weekend the family made the trek to Warm Beach to experience the Lights of Christmas. It was a bit cold....to say the least, but such a beautiful night right after the first snow. She's not real sure about this!
My wonderful family
Nakiah met Frosty and was a bit shy at first
It took a while for her to warm up to him
She tried a few times to work up the courage....
and it paid off!! She gave Frosty a hug!.....then wanted to keep hugging him and said "no" every time he hugged another kid. :)
Michael and Danielle
Mom and Dad
Me and Corey
Gingerbread Danielle and Michael
Gingerbread Rashel and Corey
Two of my very favorite people!
She couldn't get enough of Frosty!
Eventually she got mad at me for not letting her run crazy and then got really mad when I was trying to take pictures of her crying. She kept running away from me, I would get in front of her, she turned around and yelled. We did that a couple of times before I was able to capture the moment......and boy was she screaming. If you look close, you can see her tonsils!
She didn't even let me touch her for the rest of the night, only Auma could hold her.
Oh, daddy could touch her too as long as I didn't get close!
Checking out the ponies
