First Christmas

She may not know about Christmas yet, but Nakiah made sure that everyone was wide awake at 6am on Christmas morning.

Nakiah's first gift from mommy was a Precious Moments Bible just like the one my parents gave me 20 some years ago.

She is soooo in to it...can you tell Daddy's first gift to Nakiah was a music/jewlery box and a very special birthstone ring.

While she appreciates EVERY gift, I think she would have been fine with a pile of bows and wrapping paper.

All tuckered out from so much Christmas fun. Daddy must have been busy too. :)

90th Percentile.....WHAT?!!

I took Nakiah to the doctor on Wednesday for her puking issues (for those of you who don't know, whatever goes down most likely will make another appearance!). Turns out she isn't bulimic after all. ;) She has a bit of reflux, which she should outgrow soon, hopefully. Dr. Levine said he would be concerned if she weren't gaining weight, but apparently, we don't have that problem. Nakiah measured 23 1/4 inches and tipped the scales at a modest 14 pounds 4 ounces....the 90th percentile!! Its probably a good thing she's a bit pukey! I can't imagine what she would weigh if she didn't puke!

At her 6 week check up, which was about 7 weeks ago, she weighed 9 pounds 12 ounces. Which means in the last 45 days or so, she has gained 4 1/2 pounds. Apparently, we have a monster child! If she stretches just right, she creates the illusion of less roles..... Practicing for her next hamburger, which at this rate will probably be next week! Okay, for those of you who are now pointing out the fact that her "blue" bib says "Thank heaven for little boys....she pukes....alot....you make do!

Visit with Santa

Nakiah went to see Santa Clause on Monday...I can't wait to get the picture back. They wouldn't let us use our own camera, unless we were outside of the fencing. So, we'll have to wait for the pictures to get back.

She really didn't know what to think. She just sort of laid in his arms sort of looking a little stiff. I couldn't get her to smile, but as soon as daddy got in front of her, she gave a huge grin.

Christmas Dress

So, I'm not a big fan of dresses, but I think Nakiah had a good time showing hers off. Now we just have to teach her not to flash everyone. Once she got a hold of that first lacey layer, she didn't want to let go of it. She kept pulling it up trying to eat it.

First Christmas Present

My mom gave Nakiah an early Christmas gift a couple of days ago. Nakiah is still getting used to all the new toys to look at, but she's enjoying trying to reach everything.

So much fun it wore her out! She must have played hard, she never sleeps on her back. Great gift!!

3 Months Old!!....Already

Nakiah is getting so big. I can't believe 3 months have gone by so fast. She changes so much every day, she keeps surprising me with all the things she's learning to do and she absolutely LOVES attention....go figure!
