From the Skagit Valley Herald: Russells to celebrate 30th anniversary PUNKIN CENTER — Dennis and Shelly Russell of Punkin Center will mark their 30th wedding anniversary Tuesday, June 23, 2009. They will celebrate the event with a family dinner and celebration at 6 p.m. Saturday, June 27, at Sakura Restaurant in Burlington. The Russell children and their spouses are Rashel and Corey O’Neil of Mount Vernon and Michael Russell of Silverdale and Danielle Baird of Big Lake. The couple have one granddaughter, Nakiah O’Neil. Dennis worked as a contracted planner for more than six years, traveling to various locations including Aruba, St. Croix, Kentucky, Ohio and California before working at Boeing for two years. He now works as a planner/scheduler for Starcon Inc. at the Shell Oil Refinery in Anacortes. Shelly left the Concrete School District in 2000 to travel with Dennis and worked with him in California. She now is a homemaker and part-time caregiver for her granddaughter. Dennis and Shelly Russell were married June 23, 1979, at the First Baptist Church of Sedro-Woolley. Congratulations and Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad!! We Love You!
