Since Nakiah first started playing with toys, everything is examined. Every toy gets the once over before they become objects of play. If she finds something interesting, like wheels or holes or lids, etc it gets a thorough investigation before it is accepted as simply a toy.
Auntie Stinky got Nakiah this train for her birthday, and it has proven to be no exception to this rule! For the first week, at least, Nakiah would open and close the lid/seat, push the buttons, flip it over to spin the wheels and anything else she could find to figure out.
It wasn't until recently that she actually got on to ride the train. Once she did, she loved it of course, but she still takes the occasional pit stop to ensure all mechanisms are working properly.
Is this my fair warning that I have a "why" child on my hands?
She's going to ask why about everything.
