6 Weeks Old
Kiah had her 6 week check up last week and got her first shots. Mommy cried too!
She wighed a whopping 9 lbs 12 oz and she's grown to 21 3/4 inches.
I can't believe how much she's changed already....everything except for the hair. :)

Chinny Chin Chins!
I'm sure one day my daughter will hate me for this.......
The only time in a girl's life when a double chin is cute!!

Something Fishy
When I was a little girl, my mom would take pictures of me standing next to my dad while he held the fish he caught. The fish were always longer than I was tall. Since I have outgrown the fish, we are passing down the tradition to Nakiah.
She has a few years before she outgrows these fish...

CRAZY Hair!!
First off, I have to say...my family hates this picture. They think it makes her look like she has something wrong with her hair, but I love this picture!!
Kiah has this crazy hair that won't lay down, ever. Plus she has a swirl on the back of her head that makes it go in every direction. As you can see, this combination gives the effect of balding in the front and a hair line that begins on the top of her head. So, instead of fighting an impossible battle, I've decided to embrace the uniqueness of Kiah's hair and help lift it to its fullest potential!

Sweet Dreams
This is Kiah's favorite sleeping position.
She pulls her knees up under her, buries her head and hides her face with her hands.

Play Time
Kiah is really starting to notice things around her. She's beginning to interact with us and she even tries to talk to her toys. She's already growing up too fast.....

Drunk off the bottle....
We started giving Kiah a bottle at night to help fill her belly more, in hopes that she would sleep longer...turns out once those couple of extra ounces are down, my child turns into a limp drunk.
